Micromax’s most expensive smartphone yet – Canvas Doodle 2
Micromax has launched its most expensive smartphone yet – the Canvas Doodle 2, which it has priced at ₹19,900 – a whole ₹2,900 expensive than its recently released Canvas 4.
Powered by a quad-core 1.2GHz processor, the Canvas Doodle 2 runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and has a 5.7-inch capacitive touch screen with a 720 x 1,280 pixel resolution. The smartphone supports stylus and its display is based on IPS (In Plane Switching) technology which ensures better contrasts as well as vibrant colours. The Doodle 2 comes with quite a few features you would find in Canvas 4 including the likes of blow to unlock and shake to unlock features.
Micromax has again gone ahead with MediaTek to power its Doodle 2 with its 1.2GHz processor. The smartphone boasts of 1GB RAM and has 12GB internal storage. We are not sure about a microSD card slot yet but, users will be able to use 10GB for their storage requirements as the system will utilize 2GB. Micromax has fitted a 2600 mAh battery and has claimed that the smartphone will provide a talktime of up to 8 hours on 2G network. The smartphone also features a 12-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel rear one.
Micromax, like other players, has started putting a custom UI on top of the stock Android home screen and the user interface and Canvas Doodle 2 is no exception. The smartphone runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
