Micromax Canvas Doodle 2 vs. Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8
Micromax released its Canvas Doodle 2 and it is by far the most expensive handset from the company surpassing the price of its flagship phone – the Canvas 4.
The smartphone does pack some interesting specifications like a 5.7-inch screen, quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 12GB internal storage, 12-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front one – but, we wanted to check out how the latest from Micromax stands up against Samsung’s Galaxy Mega 5.8.
The Mega 5.8 has, as its name suggests, a 5.8-inch TFT capacitive display with 540 x 960 pixels and a pixel density of 190 ppi. On the other hand as the Canvas Doodle 2 has a slightly smaller screen at 5.7-inch but has a resolution of 720 x 1,280 pixels which is definitely higher than that of the Mega 5.8. Further the Doodle 2 packs an IPS panel as compared to TFT panel of the Mega 5.8. Canvas Doodle 2 seems to be better off in the display segment as compared to its Samsung counterpart.
Samsung has packed its Mega 5.8 with a 1.4GHz dual-core processor whereas Micromax has powered its Doodle 2 with a quad-core 1.2GHz processor which again seems to be better off than that of Mega 5.8. We won’t be able to give you a definite review on this up until we get our hands onto the Doodle 2.
