BlackBerry A10 Release Date, Price and Rumored Specs
BlackBerry A10 is expected to be one of the high end smartphone offerings for the year 2013 from the Canada based smartphone manufacturer. Rumours about the phone are circulating the web for quite a long time now in the form of leaked photos and hands-on video.
Photos suggest that the phone will be joining the club of 5-inch phablets in the smartphone market and videos showcases its design and features. If the rumors are correct then it could be the first truly large screen phone from the house of BlackBerry.
For sake of our readers, Sanjay Kumar Negi of ShopEnters.com has rounded up all the rumored specifications, price information and release date information of the BlackBerry A10 smartphone.
According to rumours, the BlackBerry A10 will be featuring a 5-inch OLED display with resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels at about 295ppi pixels density per. We are a little disappointed for the fact that it doesn’t have a full HD 1080p display. However, a 5-inch screen is definitely welcome.
According to the leaked reports, BlackBerry A10 will be running BlackBerry 10.2 operating system version, which is still in the making. The phone will be having actionable notifications – a feature that is currently missing from the current version of BlackBerry 10 OS. The 5-inch display would make the BlackBerry 10 OS user interface look a lot better as compared to the Z10 and the Q10.
Leaks suggest that the BlackBerry A10 will be powered by a 1.7GHz Dual Core Qualcomm Snapdragon Pro processor along with a separate quad core GPU for better gaming performance. It will feature 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage expandable to up to 64GB via microSD card slot. Rumors suggest it will be powered by a 2800mAh removable battery which is larger than the battery present in BlackBerry Z10.
BlackBerry A10 will most probably feature a 8-megapixel rear shooter and a 2-megapixel front one. It is rumoured that the front shooter will be capable of recording videos at 720p while the rear camera will capture videos at 1080p.
Other leaked features of the phone include 4G LTE connectivity support with micro HDMI port. Some of the other connectivity features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC. It will be having Ambient light, Gyroscope, Altimeter, Accelerometer and Proximity sensors. Some leaks related to the phone suggest it will be launched in two different variants including a CDMA version for Verizon customers in US.
Price & Release Date
There is no special leak that suggests the release date and price of the BlackBerry A10 smartphone but it is highly expected that the company will announce it in the fourth quarter of 2013. As for the price we can expect it to hit $800/ ₹ 45,000 considering the high end features available in the smartphone.
Summing it up
BlackBerry A10 will be a decent attempt by the Canadian manufacturer to keep up in the smartphone market among other big brands out there. The phone doesn’t look much different than the recently launched BlackBerry Z10 smartphone, but it sure looks more redefined and will be highlighting the good looking BlackBerry 10.2 OS on a bigger screen. However, a dual core processor powered smartphone with only 8-megapixel camera might not make it stand in the crowd of most recognizable flagships available in the market at the moment but still it looks like a solid BlackBerry device.
