Lenovo stops selling Yoga 11, its only Windows RT tablet, on its website

Lenovo stops selling Yoga 11, its only Windows RT tablet, on its website

Lenovo has stopped selling its Windows RT tablet – Yoga 11 on its website indicating that the company may very well be planning to phase out the product.

Windows RT hasn’t found many backers and Lenovo was one of the companies that pushed out an ARM based laptop tablet convertible loaded with the beleaguered OS. Navigating to the Yoga 11 product page on Lenovo.com there is a message that reads, “This Product Is No Longer Available For Purchase On Lenovo.Com. You May Still Buy This Product From A Lenovo Retailer Or Reseller.” Retailers who are still selling this convertible include Office Depot, Tiger Direct in the US.

The removal of Yoga 11 from the website strongly suggests that Lenovo may not be manufacturing any more of these and the retailers may be just selling what is remaining in their inventory. Chances are these retailers may soon start off a firesale of the Yoga 11 tablet to get rid of the entire stock.

Microsoft, just last week, cut down the prices of Surface RT by $150 which points to the fact that Redmond’s own Windows RT tablet is not selling as it should.
