As expected, Spice has debuted in the full HD smartphone segment with the launch of its Pinnacle FHD smartphone featuring a 5-inch display with 1,920 x 1,080 pixel resolution.

Powered by a 1.5GHz processor and running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, the Pinnacle FHD may very well turn out to be more powerful than its rival Canvas 4. Some of the other features of the phone are 8 GB internal storage which is expandable to up to 32GB using an external microSD card, 1 GB RAM, dual-SIM support with both SIMs capable of 3G connectivity.

Further, the Pinnacle FHD has an 8-megapixel rear shooter with auto-focus and dual LED and a 2-megapixel front one for those video calling needs, 2100mAh battery, Bluetooth 4.0, FM Radio, and free 2GB of storage space through Spice Cloud.

Spice is currently offering the Pinnacle FHD on preorder for ₹16,990 and delivers are expected to commence on or after July 20. Pinnacle FHD will also be made available in retail stores starting July 20 across India.

If we go ahead with a brief comparison between the Canvas 4 and Pinnacle FHD, Micromax may be in for a huge challenge considering that some of the specification of Spice’s flagship handset are better than Canvas 4 – 1.5 GHz processor as against 1.2GHz and full HD screen as against just an HD screen of Canvas 4.

We will have a head-to-head comparison between Pinnacle FHD and Canvas 4 so stay tuned.
