Karbonn launches Titanium S9, its most priced smartphone yet
Karbonn has launched its most expensive smartphone yet – the Titanium S9, jumping from its ₹11,000 range to a whopping ₹19,990.
Loaded with some impressive components, the Titanium S9 may compete with the already announced Micromax Canvas 4, the Lenovo S920, and the HTC Desire 600. We will come up with a comparison between the Titanium S9 and other smartphones so do visit back.
The S9 is powered by a quad core processor clocked at 1.2GHz, which is more or less the norm today in India, has 1GB RAM, 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with flash and a 5-megapixel front one, 16GB internal storage, a 5.5-inch HD IPS display with 1,280×720 resolution, runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and has a 2600mAh battery.
Some of the other features of the phone are 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4, microUSB and has common sensors like the gravity, proximity and ambient light sensor.
There are other smartphones with 2GB of RAM and similar storage configuration but, they carry a lower price. The main question here is that will people in India trust Karbonn with that kind of money considering that Karbonn has been known to bring out budget-friendly smartphones but, with not so immaculate design. With a ₹19,990 price tag the Titanium S9 may be facing some initial hurdles and Karbonn may be looking at some initial profits but a sub-₹15,000 price tag would have definitely put the S9 in a commanding position.
