Lenovo S920 launched in India at ₹19,900
Lenovo has launched another budget-friendly smartphone with a quad-core processor – the S920 with a sub-₹20,000 price tag giving a clear signal that local vendors in India may not be the only ones offering high-end smartphone at pocket-friendly prices.
The Lenovo S920 is equipped with a 5.3-inch screen with 1280x720p resolution, powered by MediaTek MT6589 quad core processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, 1GB RAM, 4GB internal storage expandable to 32 GB using a microSD card, 8MP autofocus rear camera and a 2MP front one, and a 2 megapixel front camera.
Lenovo has put in a 2250 mAh battery in the S920 and claims that the smartphone gives up to 25 hours of 2G talktime and 12 hours of talktime on 3G network. The phone supports dual SIM and has WiFi, Bluetooth, USB, A-GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and FM radio. The S920 is just 7.9mm thick.
One thing does catch our attention though is that the smartphone doesn’t have LTE or NFC support – not that they are must have features – but considering its 2013 and India already has telecom providers offering LTE connectivity, Lenovo could have provided it and stood out from the other quad-core crowd.
