HTC announces Desire 600 quad-core smartphone at ₹26,860
HTC has announced a new quad-core smartphone dubbed Desire 600 in the race to compete in the multi-core smartphone segment against the likes of Samsung and other local Indian vendors.
Priced at ₹26,860 the smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 SoC clocked at 1.2GHz, 1 GB RAM, 8GB of internal storage expandable to up to 64GB using a microSD card, 4.5-inch super LCD 2 display with 540×960 pixels resolution, 8-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash, and 1.6-megapixel front one.
HTC Desire 600 runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with the latest Sense 5 user interface and also comes with HTC BlinkFeed and HTC BoomSound just like the HTC One. The smartphone will come be bought either in Black or in White and can play 720p videos at 30 frames per second (fps).
HTC has also put in built-in amplifiers along with Beats Audio technology. The price tag would put the Desire 600 in direct competition of Google Nexus 4 and LG Optimus 4X HD. Other standard features include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, microUSB, GPS, HTML 5 support among others.
