BlackBerry offering discounts of up to ₹11,000 on new Z10
BlackBerry has started a month long exchange campaign under which customers can trade-in their old smartphones for discounts of up to ₹11,000 on a new Z10.
Users will be offered a discount from ₹3,000 to ₹11,000 based on the condition of the old handset. The offer is being extended to 17 cities. Dealers will be in charge of evaluation of discount amount but, BlackBerry has provided reference rates based on which they can decide. According to reference rates, those with BlackBerry 9900 can get discounts of up to ₹11,000 whereas Curve 8530 can get up to ₹3,000.
Prosenjit Sen, BlackBerry India’s Director for Channel Sales, told PTI, “Customers across 17 cities will get discount of up to Rs 11,000 if they buy BlackBerry Z10 under this scheme. We have given reference rates to dealers for existing BlackBerry users willing to shift to BlackBerry Z10.”
Z10 is the first full touch smartphone from BlackBerry that runs OS 10 and is being sold on ecommerce sites for as low as ₹31,577 and as high as ₹42,490. The Z10 is powered by a dual core processor clocked at 1.5GHz, has 8-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front one, 16GB internal storage expandable to up to 64 GB, 2GB RAM, 4.2-inch display with 768×1280 pixel resolution among others.
