Microsoft: Xbox One to be available from November at $499
Microsoft has announced that its Xbox One will be launched in November this year just before the holiday season and will be priced at $499.
Microsoft has put a higher price tag on the Xbox One as compared to what it did for Xbox 360 or the original Xbox but, considering that Sony launched its PlayStation 3 at a whopping $600 back in 2006, the current price of Xbox One cannot be considered to be very high. The Xbox One package includes the gaming console equipped with a 500GB removable drive, the Kinect 2.0, and a wireless gamepad.
At the initial Xbox One press conference, Microsoft focused on the media capabilities of the console but, at the E3 2013, it did just the opposite – concentrated on the gaming abilities of the console. Gamers would certainly be impressed as the Xbox One is coming not only with a handful of exclusive titles, the next-gen gaming console will also have several new chapters from classic franchises along with reincarnation of some old properties.
Digging into the titles Xbox One is getting a new Halo game – titled just Halo. The teaser trailer didn’t give much detail apart from a large spaceship rising from the stand. Further as we had highlighted before, the One is getting Forza Motorsports 5 alongside Killer Instinct. Project Spark was also showcased at the event and this is again an Xbox One exclusive. Some of the other titles for the Xbox One are Sunset Overdrive, Dead Rising 3, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Minecraft: Xbox One Edition, Crimson Dragon, Below and D4.
